Rachel Comey, Creative Director, seeks Senior Designer to work directly with her, our fantastic Design team, and our In-house Sample Room. Said designer to be right hand in collection building, from concept, design and development, a journey with me thru the seasons and categories. Conversation, conceptualization, tactile and proportional exploration are ongoing. The work evolves, our client's experiences evolve each season, and we do too.
We are seeking smart, creative, thoughtful, brave, forward thinking people to join our growing design team. An innovative designer with conviction and confidence, but also humanity, sensitivity and curiosity. Brand, human and self awareness are essential. . A great collaborator, a great thinker. A passion for color, proportion, fabric, function, craft, ethical production, as well as, a genuine drive to dress the modern woman in all the moments of her life and body changes. Cultural interests are a must.
Five plus years experience as the minimum. Diversity in experience is welcome, though. This person can come from a fabric and product development point of view and/or a wovens design one. We do not need knit, denim, footwear or accessory specialists as those areas are covered. The focus here is fabric, print, embellishment, wovens, tailoring, draping...with a hands on approach. Someone who wants to get into it and do the work with us. Very hands on.
