Personals
Created in collaboration with The New York Review of Books, The Personals Print draws on archived personal ads from the 1970s and ’80s.
These ads are collaged and recontextualized across two distinct fabrics. One version retains the crispness of type and the charm of inked print. The second takes a more experimental approach: the text is printed separately on both the warp and weft threads before weaving. This process results in a beautifully blurred, ghostly effect — a visual metaphor for the fragmentary and elusive nature of human connection.
