Alexi-Meskhishvili is a Georgian-American artist who lives and works in Berlin with her husband and two children.
Using both analog and digital photographic techniques, her work explores themes of memory, perception, and identity. She often applies her imagery to translucent curtains, which act as soft veils within space, obscuring and distorting their surroundings.
For her collaboration with Artists & Mothers, Alexi-Meskhishvili took “Napkin”, a work exhibited in her recent institutional show, “there, but not” at Kunstverein Braunschweig, 2025, and translated it to a limited edition scarf.
Ketuta Alexi-Meskhishvili is represented by LC Queisser, Tbilisi and Cologne, Galerie Molitor, Berlin and frank elbaz, paris. Her solo exhibition, Georgia, opens at Galerie Molitor on May 2nd.
