Due to the nature of raw indigo denim, this style may experience crocking—the rubbing off of color when the fabric is subjected to abrasion. This is a natural characteristic of raw denim and will lessen over time with wear and washing.

Please take care when wearing lighter-colored clothing, shoes, and bags, as they may pick up some dye transfer.

Care Instrucions

To keep your raw denim looking it's best, the key is simple: don’t wash often.

Raw denim is designed to embrace intentional laziness—the thick fabric can handle more wear between washes without showing dirt. In fact, frequent washing can fade the color and weaken the fabric. Many denim enthusiasts suggest washing only when your raw denim starts to smell or show visible dirt.

If you do decide to wash raw denim, we recommend waiting at least six months before the first wash.

Typical crocking (color transfer) will reduce after one to two washes. If you want to preserve the original color and fabric texture, we recommend dry cleaning only.
